Joining Omanbay is simple and free.

 

You must join Omanbay before you can buy or sell on the site. You need an e-mail address and a GSM number.

 

You must be in Oman to buy or sell on Omanbay. People from outside Oman may join as associate members. Associate members may register interest with a lister in jobs, holiday accommodation, and property only.

 

Click on Join Omanbay it's FREE and fill in the form with your details.

 

 

When you click the link in the welcome email you will receive an SMS message on your mobile phone containing a 7-digit password. Fill this password into the box on the welcome email and click Go. 

 

Once you have completed this joining procedure you are an ordinary member of the Omanbay trading community, and you can sign in with the email address and password you provided on the joining form.

 

If you do not receive your welcome email, please check that your mailbox is working and not full, and check your junk mail.  Mail from us will be sent from mail@omanbay.com.  So please add this address to your contacts list to ensure that mail is not diverted to junk.  If you can't find the message please wait 24 hours and then join again.  You cannot join Omanbay unless you have a working email address.

 

When you click on the link in the email you should receive your text message almost immediately.  If it hasn't come within an hour you can text your nickname to 92884489 and we will join you manually.  This may take several hours.  If your membership is not completed within 24 hours our records are deleted and you will have to start the join procedure again.  You cannot join Omanbay unless you have a working mobile telephone number.

 

Ordinary members can place a wanted listing, and bid up to RO 50 for items for sale on the site. If you want to sell items, or bid more than RO 50, or ask the seller a question, or use buy now then you must confirm your membership by putting RO 2 into your Omanbay account.  This is not a fee and can be used to pay for your listings.

 

Associate members may email listers in the jobs, holiday accommodation, and property categories.  The lister will receive the associate member's email address and will then be able to answer directly.
