Only members can place bids.

 

Ordinary members can bid up to RO 50 for an item, to bid more than RO 50 you must be a confirmed member.

 

The first bid must not be less than the starting price. Subsequent bids are subject to a minimum bid increment, which depends on the reserve price of the item. The reserve price is the lowest price that the seller will sell for.  You may be more than the minimum bid increment, but not less.

 

To place your bid enter the amount you wish to bid and click Place Bid. You may select to be notified by e-mail when someone else bids more than you.

 

If you are the highest bidder at the close of the auction, and the reserve price has been met, then you are the winning bidder. Your contact details will be sent to the seller and he/she should contact you within a few days.

 

A buy now price may be specified by the seller if he/she is more interested in selling fast than selling for the highest possible price. If someone offers the buy now price the item will be sold and the auction cancelled.

 

Only confirmed members can use buy now.

 

A minimum bid increment is the next smallest bid amount allowed. Bidders may bid more than the minimum bid increment, but not less. The minimum bid increments depend on the price of the item and are:

You can elect to receive e-mail alerts when someone else bids on an item you are bidding for.  You are advised to watch the bidding closely in the last hour of an auction for an item that you want to buy.  Your e-mail alert may not reach you in time for you to place a bid before the close of the auction.

 

Confirmed members can request to have their last bid removed by Omanbay. We will record requests for removal of bids in your feedback. Frequent requests for removal of bids may result in suspension of your membership. Please do not bid unless you are sure you have sufficient funds to complete the transaction.
